Yes! Our products are Certified Gluten-Free by GFCO, and they're all made in a 100% dedicated gluten-free facility.

Yes! All of our products are made in a dedicated top 8 allergen-free facility. We are also proud to partner with Snack Safely . Established in 2011, Snack Safely provides straightforward, actionable information to help improve the lives of the estimated 32 million people in the US suffering with food allergies.

How much does shipping cost?

All orders ship at a $5 flat rate fee. Subscription orders ship free always. We use a variety of shipping partners to ship our freshly baked sourdough. If a certain carrier does not deliver to your address, please leave a note in your order at checkout or contact our Customer Care team at hello@breadsrsly.com.

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

We strongly discourage shipping to P.O. Boxes. We will not be liable for the delay or inability of our product to be delivered to P.O. Box addresses.

I've placed my order. When will I receive my bread?

Orders placed by Sunday midnight PST will ship by WEDNESDAY. We use a variety of shipping carriers to ensure our freshly baked bread gets to you at its best. Orders placed after the Sunday cutoff will ship the FOLLOWING week (by Wednesday of the next week). All shipments that fall on a shipping holiday/closure will be sent out the next possible shipping date. Once shipped, orders typically arrive between Thursday and Saturday.

How will I know when my order is on its way?

We will send you an email with a tracking link provided by the shipping carrier so you can keep an eye on your order's journey. Due to the perishability of our products, we pay for express shipping with our shipping partners to ensure that your order arrives fresh.

We recommend checking your tracking information daily from the carrier's website to see the real-time progress of your order. Any orders that are unable to be enjoyed due to the inability to pick up and/or refrigerate the bread after it has been delivered will not be refunded. In select cases, we will happily send you a new order for a reshipment fee of $15.

Any orders that need to be re-shipped due to incorrect shipping information will incur a $15 reshipping fee and will not be refunded.

How can I get some bread?

We ship our bread nationally here! We also sell product through many retailers and cafes along the West Coast. Find the store nearest you using our Store Locator.

Why are products sold out?

Due to supply chain gaps for ingredients/supplies or other unforeseen circumstances, our website will occasionally sell out of select products.

How can I be notified when products are back in stock?

Navigate to the individual product page of the sold-out item you are interested in purchasing. Click on the red "Email Me When Restocked" button on the bottom-right corner of the page and enter your email address when prompted. An email will automatically be sent to you when we have restocked that particular product.


How do I care for my loaf?

Our bread is preservative-free, so we recommend placing your bread - in its original packaging- in the refrigerator as soon as it's received. The bread will last over a week as long as it stays chilled.

Can I freeze the bread?

Yes! Our bread freezes well for at least two months. For best results, we recommend chilling for a few days in the fridge, then slicing it up before you freeze it. Be sure to wrap the bread in freezer-safe packaging.

Any tips for slicing?

Once the bread has been refrigerated, it will be very easy to slice! Use a SHARP non-serrated knife (chef's knife or cleaver if you have one) to slice your bread as thinly as you'd like. The longer the loaf has chilled, the thinner you can slice it.


What is wild yeast?

Wild yeast is an amazing thing. It is a collection of several (or maybe hundreds?) of strains of yeast (the dusty-looking coating on apples and grapes is wild yeast, but it lives all over the place), along with local good bacteria. Bakers yeast is a single strain of yeast isolated from the wild yeast bunch, and selected for speed, flavor and consistency. Baker's yeast alone does not have the benefits of the wild yeast culture, which acts to break down the protein and sugar structure of grains, and unlocks their nutrients. I don't know all the technical details about why folks are more sensitive to single-strain yeasts, but I think it is because to make bread more quickly (i.e. cheaply) you need to use a pretty high quantity of yeast and often sugar, so you have too much yeast breaking down the sugar but never breaking down the grains. I'm allergic to sunflower. Can I still safely enjoy your products?

There is cross-contact of sunflower and poppy seeds from our Seeded Sourdough with our other products, as we use shared equipment. If you are allergic to sunflower in any form, or poppy seeds, we recommend not consuming our products.

Some of your products contain xanthan gum. What is the xanthan gum you use derived from?

As of 2022, the xanthan gum we use is derived from corn. While there aren’t corn proteins in the final product, some people with corn sensitivities choose to avoid our products made with xanthan gum. Read more about xanthan gum here

Do you have any products made without gums or rice?

Yes! Our Sandwich Rolls and our Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough do not contain any gums or rice.

What's the deal with xanthan gum versus psyllium husk?

We started our company with our sourdough loaf recipe, and it put us on the map. But while we love our loaf, we began to hear that some people couldn't tolerate xanthan gum. Read more about xanthan gum here. We began to experiment with organic psyllium husk, and came up with our delicious Sandwich Rolls for folks looking to avoid gums. Our newest sourdough loaf flavor, Cinnamon Raisin, is also gum free.

Does your rice contain arsenic?

We use organic white rice flour, which is rumored to have less arsenic than a brown rice flour. However, like xanthan gum, we know some people are looking to avoid rice all together. Our gum-free Sandwich Rolls and Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough are also rice-free, and will stay that way. Please note that they are made at the same time as our rice-containing loaves, so there will be some cross-contact. We are hoping to create more rice-free products in the future.

What type of salt is used in your products?

We use sea salt in all of our products.


Why is this loaf dark in color?

This darker color is caused by the caramelization of sugars that occurs within the loaf during the baking process. On top of this, date syrup is a naturally dark ingredient, which also contributes to a darker loaf color. This color difference is similar to how gingerbread cookies made with molasses come out of the oven darker than sugar cookies.

What kind of cinnamon is used in this loaf?
The cinnamon in our Cinnamon Raisin loaf is cassia (or Saigon) cinnamon.

How sweet is this loaf?

Our Cinnamon Raisin Gluten-Free Sourdough Loaf offers just a touch of sweetness. If you prefer a sweeter taste, we recommend a drizzle of Just Date Syrup, or your sweet toppings of choice.

What is this sourdough loaf sweetened with?

Our Cinnamon Raisin Gluten-Free Sourdough Loaf is lightly sweetened only with organic California Medjool date syrup from Just Date.

Why date syrup?

Date syrup is a potassium-rich, nutrient-dense, and low-glycemic index sweetener made only from organic medjool dates.

Do the dates or raisins in this loaf contain sulfites?

No, this product is sulfite free!


My loaf has a big air bubble. What's up?

We have an amazing team of people working to bake, pack and deliver only the best gluten-free products. However, sometimes a loaf gets through with a larger-than-normal air bubble hidden sneakily inside. While we've implemented tons of awesome improvements to minimize the bubbles, we are still working with a living sourdough culture with a mind of its own. Our production team is continually improving our baking processes to resolve this quality issue.

The loaf is very sticky or seems under-baked. Why is that?

Our bread is extra moist to help it get its rise, and to extend its shelf-life. This results in a wetter crumb, which is safe and fully baked, but can be sticky when the bread is freshest. This is easily solved by refrigerating your bread. The whole loaf will firm up a bit, and the crumb will set perfectly after a few days. Once you toast your bread, that stickiness should turn into delicious melt-in-your-mouth sourdough toast!

I'm not satisfied with my order. What do I do?

While we are confident that our product is delicious, we know no bread is for everyone. Please please let us know if you are not satisfied for ANY reason.
