INTERIM MARKETING MANAGER - PART TIME
We are Bread SRSLY, makers of wildly nourishing, SERIOUSLY delicious, gluten-free and vegan sourdough bread in Oakland, CA. Our mission is to reunite people with sourdough when they thought good bread was off the table. We bake thousands of loaves of bread each week, ship them all over the US to eager gluten-free eaters, and sell them locally at natural foods stores up and down the West Coast. We are seeking an implementation-oriented Marketing Manager to join our team for a fixed term while our Marketing Director is on leave from August through December. As Bread SRSLY’s Interim Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for executing Bread SRSLY’s Marketing Strategy, which includes our digital marketing, social media, online storefront, and community management. Our ideal candidate is great at execution and task-management. We are looking for someone who can take an existing strategy and asset library and run with it to guide us through a smooth Q3 and Q4. While we are prepping as much as we can to make this role clear, feasible and fun, we also welcome your unique creative input and your fresh eyes as you come into this established role.

The Interim Marketing Manager will:

Execute and manage Bread SRSLY’s email marketing strategy, including but not limited to sending 1-3 weekly campaigns, managing existing flows, and tracking KPIs

Execute and manage Bread SRSLY’s social media strategy, including but not limited to posting 3x per week on various platforms, replying to comments/DMs, collaborating with other gluten-free brands, and tracking KPIs

Manage Bread SRSLY’s online storefronts for Shopify and TikTok Shop, including but not limited to monitoring sales and subscriptions, managing inventory, setting up promotions, launching seasonal products, publishing blog posts, handling holiday-related e-commerce changes, and tracking KPIs

Oversee and help guide our paid ads strategy with the help of our external ad management partners

Perform community management by engaging with Bread SRSLY’s Ambassadors, Affiliates, Influencers, and other external partners we work with

Participate in biweekly Sales and Marketing meetings, and other team meetings if needed on occasion

Perform other related e-commerce/marketing duties on an as-needed basis during our busy holiday season

Basic Requirements:

2+ years marketing experience (please elaborate in your cover letter)

Fluency in Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

Fluency in Email Marketing Platforms such as Klaviyo (preferred) or Mailchimp

Proficiency in basic design for digital marketing materials (such as Photoshop or Canva) and copywriting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management skills

Experience working remotely

A reliable remote workspace with reliable internet access
Extra Credit:

In-depth knowledge of a gluten-free lifestyle/celiac disease, sourdough, or food allergies and intolerances

This is a fully remote, part time (an average of 15 hours per week), W2 position that begins August 1st, 2025 and ends December 31st, 2025.
Compensation: $35/hour
