Having healthy, clean food on hand is essential for me, always. When we eat our best and fuel our bodies with what we know makes us feel good, we are truly our best selves. Below are my staples to have in my kitchen at all times. These items give you the foundation to create tasty, crave-worthy, nourishing meals in your very own kitchen — it couldn’t get any better, right?!

Gluten-Free, Nutritious Foods That I Keep in My Kitchen:

Fridge Staples

  1. Bread SRSLY - A gluten-free sourdough made with wholesome ingredients and all the gut benefits of a true sourdough!
  2. Miyoko’s Cashew Cheese -The Smoked Farmhouse flavor is my favorite
  3. Siete Foods Grain-Free Tortillas - Awesome ingredients, 2 g of fiber, and 5 g of protein.
  4. Miyoko’s Cultured Vegan Butter 
  5. Mixed Greek Olives - Great for a salty snack
  6. Cocojune Coconut Yogurt -The Pure Coconut flavor is my favorite
  7. Bitchin’ Sauce -The Spinach Artichoke dip is my favorite
  8. A jar of homemade vegan nut pesto 
  9. Haig’s Roasted Eggplant Tahini Spread 
  10. Honey Mama’s Honey Cacao Bars - The CocoNoNut and Lavender Red Rose are my favorite flavors
  11. Mixed Berries - Top on yogurt, toast, and oatmeal
  12. Fresh Herbs — dill, mint, parsley, and basil are a flavorful additive to any dressing or dish
  13. TONS of lemons- For water, dressings, salad topper, and so much more. 
  14. Avocados (Let them ripen on the counter then move them to the fridge once ripe to preserve them - I have been able to keep avocados perfectly fresh like this for multiple weeks!)
  15. A bunch of veggies to have on hand during the week for cooking — I like to have zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, arugula, broccolini, leafy greens and cauliflower. 
  16. Wild Caught Fresh Seafood -I like salmon, halibut, and shrimp

Freezer Staples

  1. Fruit for Smoothies -I like to have berries, mango, pineapple, and bananas
  2. Veggies for Smoothies - I like to have zucchini, spinach, kale, and ginger
  3. Frozen Cauliflower Rice - Swap for rice, add to smoothies, etc.

Pantry Staples

  1. Sprouted Brown Rice - For the fiber content
  2. Sprouted Quinoa
  3. Brown Rice Pasta - Jovial brand is my favorite
  4. Red Lentil Pasta - Tolerant brand is my favorite
  5. Buckwheat Soba Noodles - Yes, they’re gluten-free!
  6. Cacao Nibs 
  7. Shredded Coconut 
  8. Chia Seeds
  9. Flax 
  10. Baking Items (I keep almond flour, oat flour, cassava flour, maple syrup, raw honey, coconut sugar, coconut oil, cacao powder, and Hu Kitchen dark chocolate always on hand!)
  11. Dried Spices - garlic powder, onion powder, cinnamon/etc.
  12. Curry Paste/Powder 
  13. Canned Coconut Milk - Native Forest brand is what I always pick
  14. Rao’s Marinara Sauce - I like this brand because it has no added sugar 
  15. Almond Butter Without added sugar/oils – I love the Whole Foods 365 one
  16. Walnut Butter - Artisana brand is my favorite
  17. Coconut Butter - Artisana brand is my favorite
  18. Mary’s Gone Crackers - Everything Super Seed flavor is my favorite
  19. Jilz Crackers - Sea Salt & Cracker Pepper is my favorite flavor
  20. Veggie Broth - I buy the one from Pacific Foods. I use this to make soups with my leftover veggies at the end of each week so nothing goes to waste
