Egg-in-a-Hole Grilled Cheese (Gluten-Free)

In this Gluten-Free Egg-in-a-Hole Grilled Cheese recipe, we combine two of our favorite comfort foods—the egg in a hole (or toad in a hole) and the grilled cheese sandwich. This creates the perfect combination of melted cheese, yolky goodness, and crispy, crunchy gluten-free sourdough that hits the spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Tips For Making Egg-in-a-Hole With Gluten-Free Bread

Remember having egg-in-a-hole when you were a kid? Say, now you've developed a gluten-intolerance or have been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that prevents you from eating gluten, and you can't find a gluten-free bread that is large or sturdy enough for an egg-in-a-hole.

Enter: Bread SRSLY. You can create large slices with this gluten-free bread without it crumbling apart. Use a small lid from a mason jar or drinking glass to cut a circle into the bread and drop your egg.

Grilled Cheese?

Elevate your classic egg-in-a-hole recipe by adding shredded cheese on top, and let it melt until it turns into a beautiful, flavorful crust. Made with our Bread SRSLY GF sourdough, this Egg-in-a-Hole Grilled Cheese recipe feels upgraded to adult standards.
