Meet our newest Bread SRSLY Ambassador, Danielle!

 

1) Tell us about yourself and how you came to be gluten-free:


Hi there, I'm Danielle! Since diving into the world of health and wellness about 8 years ago, I started limiting my gluten intake. When I received an auto-immune diagnosis (Hashimotos) in 2020, it became official – gluten-free all the way! Thanks to amazing companies like Bread SRSLY, I never feel like I'm missing out on my favorite things. Plus, living in Los Angeles, there is no shortage of diet-friendly restaurants and grocery stores.

 

2) What's your favorite place for gluten-free food in Santa Monica?


Erewhon is absolutely my go-to spot! Their hot bar is amazing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's like Disneyland for health-conscious foodies!

 

3) What's your signature recipe/dish you like to make?


I find myself most inspired in the kitchen during breakfast and dinner times. Lunch tends to be a fusion of the two. For breakfast, I crave a balance of sweet and savory flavors. Typically, I whip up a three-egg scramble or fry, accompanied by a slice of toast with nut butter and bananas. To complete my morning ritual, I make a frothy collagen latte.


As for dinner, I lean towards comforting and nutritious food. One dish I adore is an Instant Pot chuck roast, perfect for crafting into tacos or assembling into Mexican-style bowls.

 

4) Favorite Bread SRSLY product and how you like to use it:


Right now, I'm absolutely hooked on the Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough. It brings back nostalgic memories of the cinnamon swirl bread from my childhood. The balance of sweetness is just perfect, and those plump raisins are *chefs kiss*. Whether toasted with ghee or paired with nut butter and bananas, it's perfect. Just the thought of it is making me hungry!
