Gluten-Free Garlic Bread (2 Ways!)
For those times when you want something to mop up the saucy drippings of a cozy stew or skillet of marinara-sauced meatballs, want an oozing, scrumptious handheld for watching the game but can’t muster the energy to make pizza, or plan to host family supper with picky kids in attendance, these gluten-free garlic bread recipes created by Primal Kitchen can be your saving grace.
Gluten-free garlic bread is just as easy to make as it is with gluten-containing bread. The key is using a good gluten-free bread. We're using Bread SRSLY's gluten-free and vegan sourdough loaf. Its soft on the inside and crispy on the outside - the perfect texture for a garlic bread. Using a sourdough adds flavor to any old garlic bread. Tossed in melted butter, garlic, salt, olive oil, parsley, and garlic, this recipe cures a salty craving.

Why Toss in Butter and Olive Oil?
Primal Kitchen's olive oil has a higher smoke point than butter. This allows our freshly chopped garlic to cook on the bread without burning. Ghee also has a higher smoke point than butter but with the same rich flavor. The extra virgin olive oil from Primal Kitchen also adds an earthiness, balancing the richness of butter and complementing our parsley topping.
How to Make Cheesy Garlic Bread the Right Way
Use shredded mozzarella cheese which melts best and browns beautifully. Our method of taking the bread out of the oven midway through then setting it to broil is pertinent to creating a perfectly crisp, melty topping. Broiling cooks at a high temperature from above instead of throughout, not burning the entire bread. It won't take long, so keep an eye on it while its in the oven.
